Boom of organic agriculture in BulgariaAt the end of 2010 organically managed agricultural is 25’648 ha, witch represent 0,47% of the total used agricultural land in Bulgaria. Certified organic land is increased with 100% in one year! Sustainable growth in sales of organic...Organic agriculture in Bulgaria has 22 years of history. In the distant 1987 a group of enthusiasts from the Agriculture University in Plovdiv established an Agroecological center with a demonstrational organic farm. Vegetables, produced in this farm have been sold on a small stand at the Thursday market in Plovdiv in the 90s.
